Albany Pride Festival is over for another year, and we’d like to know what you thought (even if you weren’t able to attend!).
5th March, 2021
What a Pride it was! Pride 2021 was our most ambitious Pride Festival yet, spanning over three weekends and the days in-between, with a wider variety of events following our commitment to provide something for everyone, including the wonderful Fringe Festival performances that graced our local venues.
Of course, it wasn’t without its challenges – COVID-19 and the sudden week-long lockdown meant that we had to postpone some events (such as Fair Day) and limit some of our events.
We’d like to thank each and every one of you that attended our events, helped promote our events or provided support, assistance and venues for events. All of us in the Albany Pride committee and Pride Planning Group are genuinely grateful and heartened by the level of support we received. Although the Pride Festival might be over, Albany Pride will be hosting many more events throughout the year that we hope to see you at.
As well as being our most ambitious, we consider the Pride Festival of 2021 to be our most successful. But we know there’s always room for improvement, and as an organisation that is run by the community, for the community, we are always looking for feedback.
As such, we ask that if you attended any of our events – or were planning or hoping to – that you fill out our survey, so we know how to better serve the community.
Many thanks, as always –
