It’s with a heavy heart that Albany Pride has had to leave Liberté for now, due to the increasing number of attendees to our End of Month drinks, which has resulted in a packed front bar with lots of noise!

We’re also aware that the venue provided challenges for those with ambulatory needs.

In the meantime, we will be hosting our end of month drinks at Due South down on the Albany Foreshore while we find a new venue. We will of course be looking for a venue that can host our ever-growing capacity and is able to better provide ambulant access for visitors.

We have absolutely loved having our monthly drinks at Liberté, and cannot thank all the staff there for hosting us, and for their love and support, and their help in creating a safe place for Albany’s LGBTQIA+/allied community and visitors. We will always be immensely grateful, and we will of course continue to have other events there when we can, and look forward to working with them in the future.
