The week of the 23rd September marks Bisexual+ Awareness Week, with Bisexual+ Awareness Day taking place on the 23rd itself.

It’s a time to recognise and celebrate Bisexuality, and the various M-Spec (Multisexual Spectrum) identities that fall under the Bisexual+ umbrella, to raise awareness of the issues facing the Bisexual community and provide visibility to Bisexual+ people and their achievements.

Bisexuality can be described most succinctly as the diverse range of attraction that falls between exclusive heterosexuality and exclusive homosexuality: that is, an attraction (sexual and/or romantic) to more than one gender or sex.

ALBANY PRIDE is proud to commemorate Bisexual+ Awareness Week, and the wonderful men, women and nonbinary folk that make up the Bisexual+ community, and the invaluable contribution they make to both the Queer community and greater society, and the issues facing the Bisexual+ community.
